Gourd and Pine needle basket Gallery

Baskets and Bowls Artist: Dani Montoya 909-867-1974 Pine Needle baskets are hand woven using pine needles gathered in the San Bernardino Mountains of Southern California. Each basket takes 30-40 hours to weave depending on size. My Baskets and Bowls are currently being displayed and sold at the United Woodcraftsmen Gallery in Big Bear California
	Swirl Basket is 10" wide and 2" tall. The center piece is a purple agate set in resin.(Click picture to enlarge)

	Red Swirled Lidded basket is 5.5" tall and 8" at its widest. Opening is 4". Red dyed pine needles adorn the lid in a spiral pattern and also the basket. (Click photo for a side view. )
	Arrowhead Basket is 5" tall by 7" wide with a 5" opening. A white strip decorates the basket near the bottom (not visible in the picture). Turquoise colored arrowheads (2) decorate the sides. (Click picture to enlarge)
	Grape Vine This gourd vase stands 9 " tall and is 7" wide. The grapevine design is woodburned and painted all the way around the vase. The lip is weaved with pine needles. (Click picture to enlarge)
	Turquiose Basket This small gourd basket was hand carved and then sponge painted for a turquiose look. Gold leaf was used for the mottled Bronze looking decoration. A medicine wheel and turquiose stone decorate the handle.
	Clock This gourd clock is made from one side of a 9" canteen gourd. The bird pattern is wood burned into the gourd and it has been painted with fade resistant gourd paint and finished with a polyurethane finish. Beads and feathers dangle on either side with leather strapping.
	Lightening This gourd vessel is designed in southwestern fashion. Black and red glass beads accent the collar shaped rim held into the gourd with gold plated wire. The design is woodburned and painted. The lightening bolt is carved. The bowl stands Side view
	Butterfly This carved gourd lidded basket stands 5.5 " tall & 7" at its widest. Click picture to see how the lid fits into the bowl.
	Bear This southwest style gourd stands 14" tall & 7" at its widest. The Bear is carved and painted and has a pink cabochon inlay. The gourd has been painted in a two tone with the top half a mottled mixture of colors. A Heishi inlay separates the two areas.
	Bear Family Father, Mother and 3 baby bears walk around this lidded gourd bowl amidst the trees and the mountains. 6" wide and a little over 7" tall.
